Whilst you may not be able to tuck into Head Chef Will’s Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes this year, you can attempt to recreate them at home.
Discover these easy to follow pancake tips, helping you to serve chef worthy pancakes at home this year.
- Use buttermilk instead of regular milk in your batter. It makes for richer, thicker and fluffier pancakes.
- Whisk all the dry ingredients – that’s your flour and a pinch of salt – together first to remove any lumps.
- Avoid over whisking the mix. It will knock the air out of the batter making flatter pancakes.
- Let your mixture rest for around 30 to 60 minutes. It helps the batter rise, making thicker style pancakes.
- Avoid over heating the pan and keep it hot in-between batches – try not to let it go cold.
- Carefully with kitchen roll, give your pan a wipe in-between batches to remove any residue.
- Keep your eye on the pan! Pancakes are quick to burn.
All you now need to decide on is the topping. From sweet to savour, to both!
