The Saddle & Spoke is proud to be the current custodian of a pub that has stood on this site for many years, long part of the fabric of Biggleswade.

As a true free house, we are able to offer a carefully chosen range of drinks, selected for quality rather than fashion. Behind the bar you will find well-kept draught beers and ales, a thoughtful selection of wines, and a considered list of gins and cocktails — all served properly and without fuss.

The bar is open throughout the day and evening, and guests are always welcome to call in for a drink, whether staying on for food or simply passing the time. No booking is required to enjoy the pub, and there is no expectation beyond settling in and feeling at ease.

Our cocktail list includes both familiar favourites and house signatures, including the Yuzu & Winter bloom martini , prepared by the bar team with care and balance. From a straightforward pint to a glass of wine or something mixed to order, the emphasis is on doing things well.
